Razr+ sequel could get chip upgrade, “stunning” new design, AI capabilities،

Next year, Motorola phones will get the processing power to handle AI-related tasks. This is according to Chen Jin, head of mobile devices at Lenovo China, who wrote this on Chinese social media platform Weibo (via NotebookCheck). If Motorola's 2024 smartphone lineup features powerful enough silicon to handle AI-related tasks, that could indicate that the Razr Plus 2024 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 application processor.

Along with a chipset upgrade, the Razr Plus (2024) is expected to get a “stunning” design overhaul. This follows changes to the clamshell foldable last year, which included the larger 3.6-inch external Quick View display on the Razr Plus (2023) covering the entire back panel when folded. The external Quick View display is so useful that you can probably keep the phone folded all day, use just the external display, and still have a pleasant experience with the device.
The current Razr Plus (2023) is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. But if the next iteration of the Razr Plus is to be able to handle all the AI tasks thrown at it without breaking a sweat, an application processor ( AP) more efficient must be found under the hood, as the Snapdragon 8 generation 3 AP.

We expect Motorola to carry over much of the current specs from next year's Razr Plus (2024), including the internal 6.9-inch plastic OLED display with 1 FHD+ resolution. 080 x 2640 and a refresh rate of 165 Hz. The phone comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.

You can currently get the Razr Plus (2023) from Motorola for $699.99, which includes a $300 or 30% discount. Color options include Infinite Black, Glacier Blue, Peach Fuzz, and Viva Magenta.

Lenovo China's Chen says Lenovo's custom AI features will be available next year on all of Motorola's flagship phones, the mid-range Moto G models and the Razr Plus sequel. Keep in mind that Chen may have been talking about the Chinese versions of these handsets.
