iPhone dominates Ookla’s list of fastest 5G phones in multiple countries،
Yes, I distinctly remember the OG iPhone I bought in 2007. It didn’t support 3G and instead ran on AT&T’s EDGE. The latter offered data speeds as slow as molasses and the only way to get clear YouTube videos was to find a Wi-Fi signal. And if you used Safari, people wouldn’t be able to call you because the calls would be direct directed to voicemail (visual voicemail of course, but voicemail nonetheless). Of course, all these problems disappeared when Apple released the iPhone 3GS in 2008.
Besides the United States, an iPhone had the fastest median 5G downlink speeds in 11 other countries.

In its report, Ookla writes: “We are excited by the number of countries where mobile device performance has increased with new models and even more excited by countries where performance is so fast that consumers can switch to new connectivity modes. your country didn’t get the speed increases you were hoping for, don’t hesitate to upgrade if you want to treat yourself or a loved one for other reasons.”
