OnePlus is all set to launch OnePlus Open on October 19. It officially announced the first look of the foldable phone along with the fan-favorite three-step alert slider in the upper left corner. But if you don’t want to wait, you can pre-order the OnePlus Open for £99/€99 to get a rather attractive £250/€250 discount off the final price once the foldable phone arrives.
OnePlus Open, the next-generation device from the Chinese manufacturer, will be officially launched in Mumbai on October 19 at 7:30 PM IST or 10:00 AM EDT. Those who pre-order the device will receive the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 for free (priced at €180). The offer remains the same for the United States and Canada as well. There’s also an ongoing email campaign from OnePlus where you get a $50/$50 CAD credit. No doubt the offerings are spicy and irresistible.
At the time of writing, we don’t know what the OnePlus Open brings, including the price which could be around $1,800, compared to $1,800 considering its rivals. It has a foldable style screen much like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5.
YouTuber Unbox Therapy interviewed Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus, where we took a look at the first look at the device. Its rear camera setup, consisting of a huge circular camera island, was covered during the exclusive look, although we know what it looks like thanks to previous leaks, including Indian Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma holding the phone revealing the camera bump.
The OnePlus Open is relatively lightweight as it uses 31 fewer components than the Oppo Find N2, allowing it to reduce both size and weight. At first glance, you’ll see two perfectly calibrated devices stacked on top of it, with almost no bezels on the screen, giving it a rewarding and wholesome user experience.
