Certification revealing battery rating for unknown Pixel model could be good news or bad news،

MySmartPrice has discovered a UL Demko certification for an unknown upcoming Pixel model. The certification shows that the device meets Denmark's safety standards and could be good or bad news depending on which Pixel model is certified next. Although the exact variant of the Pixel is unknown, it carries the model number GH2MB. The certification reveals that the device will be equipped with a battery with a capacity of 4942 mAh.
If this certification concerns the upcoming mid-range Pixel 8a, this is very good news as it would mean that the battery capacity increases by 12.7% compared to the 4385 mAh cell used to power the Pixel 7a of Last year. Given that the latter would be Google's next anticipated Pixel phone, likely introduced to the public in May at the Google I/O 2024 developer conference, the Pixel 8a cannot be considered the recipient of the largest battery.
On the other hand, the Pixel Fold was released last June after being revealed at Google I/O and it certainly falls into the category of an upcoming Pixel handset. A 4942 mAh battery also makes sense for the device since last year's first generation model came with a battery capacity of 4821 mAh. If the certification is for the Pixel Fold 2, it would be a more reasonable 2.5% increase in battery capacity, which makes more sense than a 12.7% increase for the Pixel Fold 2 . Pixel 8athe battery capacity.
The Pixel 9 series isn't expected until October. Compared to the Pixel 8's 4,575 mAh battery, if the new cell is intended for Pixel 9, it would have 8% more capacity. The Pixel 8 Pro was equipped with a 5,050 mAh battery, which means that if the certification concerns the Pixel 9 Additionally, the battery capacity will have decreased by 2.1%, making it unlikely that certification will apply to this model.
Google has improved the battery life of the Pixel 8 series, but it needs to do more in this area. The Pixel 6 Pro's rather mediocre battery was one of the main reasons I ditched the Pixel last year, went back to my iPhone 11 Pro Max, and ultimately bought the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Yes, battery life is important.
If the certification concerns Pixel 8awe'll have to expect a nice bump in battery life for the latest mid-range Pixel release and hope Google follows through on the batteries used on the Pixel 9 series. But it is very likely that the unknown device is the Pixel Fold 2. We just saw a leaked photo claiming to show the device, and the release timeline is similar to that of the Pixel 8a.
