After Korea and India, the Galaxy S24 is breaking records in Europe, too،

Galaxy AI – the marketing craze surrounding the Galaxy S24 line – is doing its job. After record pre-orders in South Korea and India, Samsung's latest and greatest flagship series is now on its way to conquer Europe. Well, if not all of it, then at least the country that gave us the Dutch East India Company (founded in 1602) – the first publicly traded joint stock company. Galaxy S24 is important in the Netherlands (via GSMArene).

The house of wooden clogs, tulips and windmills is crazy about Galaxy S24 family so much so that there is a 50% increase in pre-orders compared to S23 this time last year.

Gerben van Walt Meijer, head of marketing at Samsung Netherlands, is quoted on this subject, attributing the success of pre-orders to AI features: “Galaxy AI is transforming our connection to the world. […]. The enthusiasm of our users for these new features is reflected in the first sales figures, which break all previous records.”

Samsung introduced Galaxy AI alongside the official reveal of its Galaxy S24 series of phones in early 2024. The term “Galaxy AI” is used to describe a set of AI-enabled features – both previously seen and some brand new – found on the latest and greatest models of Samsung.

There's Circle to Search (a new way to search for items more seamlessly), Live Translate (a real-time translation during a live phone call), Interpret (a split-screen experience, allowing you to break the language barrier with transcription and translation from a foreign language), Chat Assist (you get a text in a foreign language and it Galaxy S24 will be able to translate this for you), and more.

This is why Samsung's new flagships are selling extremely well right now. In South Korea, 1.21 million Galaxy S24 units of the series were pre-ordered between January 19 and 25, marking a solid improvement over the 1.09 million units driven by last year's S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra over the course of a similar one-week pre-order window in the same country.

In India, the Galaxy S24 reached 250,000 pre-orders in three days, which may not seem as impressive as the aforementioned Korean one-week tally, but it would be higher than what the Galaxy S23 series achieved last year in three entire weeks.
