Any kind of improvement to the durability of the internal screens of Samsung's foldable devices would be welcome, although this is an area of Samsung's foldable phones that has improved over the years. Still, some consumers are hesitant to purchase one of these devices due to concerns about the Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip phones' foldable internal screens as well as the hinges on these models.
With the trademark registration filed now, we'll likely hear about “Ironflex” for the first time during the unveiling of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. This Unpacked event could take place between mid-July and the beginning of August. The “Iron” part of the name reflects strength and durability, attributes that Samsung would like consumers to associate with its foldable phones. The “flex” part of the name suggests that the internal screens of foldables are not only strong, but also flexible.

But before we even get to this summer's Unpacked event, we have the first of the new year scheduled for January 17th. It will be held in San Jose, California at 11 a.m. PST/1 p.m. EST.
