Nothing Phone (2a) major update brings lots of camera and system improvements،
Nothing more recent than the smartphone, the Phone (2a), is carrying out its second software update since its launch. This time around, Nothing adds many camera improvements and even more bug fixes.
What sets Nothing apart from other phone makers is that it provides customers with fairly detailed changelogs every time it rolls out an update for one of its phones. This is probably because the company's portfolio is quite small compared to that of Samsung, Motorola, Huawei or any other big brand.
That being said, if you use a Nothing Phone (2a) as a daily driver, you'll benefit from many new features and improvements, most of which focus on the phone's camera. Here's what the new Nothing OS 2.5.4 update understand :
Camera
- Improved color accuracy and saturation.
- Optimized color consistency between the main and ultra-wide cameras.
- Improved overall camera performance.
- Ultra XDR photos optimized for brightness and tone.
- Sharpened the Bokeh effect in Portrait mode.
General improvements
- Improved overall game performance, including BGMI.
- Optimized animation stuttering when launching and exiting apps.
- Improved the animation of the Recorder widget.
Bug fixes
- Optimized flickering issue when launching apps from the lock screen.
- Fixed an issue where the Home screen and Lock screen wallpapers were displayed abnormally.
- Fixed an issue where Quick Settings incorrectly displayed Wi-Fi or cellular data information.
- Fixed an issue where the screen would go black during incoming calls in specific scenarios.
- Optimization of overall system stability.
There's no word that this update is rolling out globally now, so you might want to head over to Settings / System / System update to upgrade to Nothing OS 2.5.4. Just keep in mind that the update is being delivered in stages, which means it may take a few days for everyone to get it.
