Samsung Announces Winners of Eighth Edition of Samsung E.D.G.E Campus Program،

Samsung, a global technology leader, concluded its eighth annual pan-India campus program, Samsung EDGE, recognizing exceptional talents and innovative solutions from students across the country. The program, designed to showcase business acumen, strategic thinking and leadership skills, saw significant participation from more than 15,000 students representing 35 campuses, including top business schools, engineering schools and colleges of design.

The first place went to MICA, Team Edge Runners from Ahmedabad, who impressed the jury with their inventive solution based on AI generation. Focused on improving customer engagement in both offline and online retail contexts, the solution emphasizes personalization, preferences and accessibility for regional audiences. The winning team, comprising Aviral Agarwal, Mansi Mathur and Sakshi Bansal, received a substantial cash prize of Rs 4,50,000, flagship smartphones from Samsung and coveted pre-placement offers from Samsung.

IIFT, the Creative Geniuses team from Kolkata, bagged the first position with its integrated platform merging AI and neuroscience. Targeting all three human senses – audio, visual and tactile – their solution provides customers with an immersive experience within the Samsung product ecosystem. The team, comprising Apurv Gautam, Ruhi Rai and Soumya Vijayshankar, received a remarkable cash prize of Rs 3,00,000 for their innovative approach.

Team Hustlers from IIM Bangalore won the second place by presenting an AI generation based solution for a seamless customer journey from pre-sales to post-sales. Their solution focuses on acquiring, retaining and identifying customer needs more effectively, ensuring an enhanced brand experience. The team, comprising Ami Jagani, Abhishek Chhattani and Vishal Shakya, received a cash prize of INR 150,000.

The final event, held in Gurugram, was attended by JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, along with other senior executives from Samsung India. Sameer Wadhawan, Head of Human Resources at Samsung India, highlighted the program's commitment to fostering innovation and problem-solving, empowering students to bring about meaningful change in society.

The program spanned three months and three rounds, involving 15,000 teams from 35 prestigious institutions. The teams collaborated on case summaries, presented detailed solutions, received mentoring from Samsung executives, and culminated in a national round, ultimately announcing the top three winning teams. The overwhelming response and increased participation this year highlights the success and impact of Samsung EDGE in nurturing the spirit of innovation among young minds.
