These trademark registrations were discovered on Tianyancha, a Chinese business information platform. Entries were submitted by OPENAI OPCO, LLC, a subsidiary of OpenAI, and were categorized as “scientific instruments” and “website services.” Although their current status indicates that they are awaiting further review, the filing is an important indicator of OpenAI's strategic plans.
Previously, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman confirmed that GPT-5, the next iteration of their revolutionary language model, was in active development.
