Threads bookmarking feature begins official rollout for all users،
After a two-week testing period, Threads by Instagram announced that the ability to bookmark posts is finally deployed to its users. This has been one of the most requested features of the platform since its launch last year.
Saving or bookmarking posts has been available on the Instagram app for years. So when Threads, an app run by the same people who run Instagram's main app, initially launched without it, many users asked for this to be integrated into the brand new social media app. Fortunately, about two weeks ago, Instagram head Adam Mosseri announced that a limited test was underway to bring a favorites feature to Threads.

Saving posts to Threads will be available by tapping the three-dot menu located at the top right of a post. Once tapped, you will be able to see the “Save” option right at the top, followed by hide, mute, unfollow, and report a post or user. Since the feature is currently rolling out, you may not see it right away. However, I was able to see if after force closing the app and then reopening it.

There are currently at least two other tests underway in Threads: Article Writing and Trending Topics, both of which Mosseri announced about a week ago. If the timeline of moving features from testing to production within two weeks continues, we could see a rollout for both as early as next week. I think it's safe to say that Threads by Instagram shows no signs of slowing down, especially when the speed at which the app is downloaded has seen a recent boom, giving some real competition to its larger counterpart: The application formerly known as Twitter.
