Samsung Galaxy S24+ Spotted on BIS; Launch in India Imminent،
Last week, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra was spotted on BIS in India, confirming its imminent launch. It turns out today that the Samsung Galaxy S24+ (or S24 Plus) has been spotted on BIS marking its imminent launch in India as part of the flagship Galaxy S24 series early next year.
Samsung Galaxy S24+ spotted on BIS
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra was spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website earlier last year, carrying the model number SM-S928B/DS. The Galaxy S24 series includes three models: S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra. Today, the Galaxy S24+ was also spotted on BIS, confirming the imminent launch.
The phone with model number SM-S926B/DS can be seen in the screenshot below. As usual, the Galaxy S24+ will be a mid-range flagship phone. Speculation suggests that it will feature the Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC options available for different markets, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be sold in a single Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 variant.
For the uninitiated, every smartphone must obtain BIS certification which certifies that the products meet the quality and safety standards put forward by the Indian government. Different countries may have different certification authorities such as NBTC and 3C, among others.
Samsung Galaxy S24+ specifications
The Samsung Galaxy S24+ will have better specs than the S23+ in many cases. For example, there is either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC or the Exynos 2400 SoC which depends on the market. Aside from that, the phone could top out at 4,900mAh, which leverages its giant size that comes with 45W fast charging technology that should put rivals like Apple to shame.
The Galaxy S24+ will use an LTPO panel based on Samsung Display’s M13 set. Storage options of 8/12 GB RAM and 128/256 GB are available. Color options reported by tipster Ice Universe include orange, blue, green, yellow, purple, gray and black.
Samsung Galaxy S24 series launch date
There is a lot of debate around the launch date since the South Korean giant has not confirmed any date. A very likely date for the same date is January 17 (2024), when the series is expected to open for pre-orders followed by shipping between January 26 and January 30. Finally, the series will be available to everyone reported on January 30. Note that none of these dates are official, which means it’s always possible that actual dates vary.
