The US-based company earlier today unveiled a brand new chipset aimed at mid-range smartphones, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.<\/p>\n<p>The new chipset will initially be integrated into smartphones launched by Honor and <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/vivo\/\"   title=\"Vivo\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">Vivo<\/a>, which will hit the market later this month.  We live in a digital world driven by AI, so it&#8217;s no wonder that Qualcomm has decided to double down on its AI improvements.<\/p>\n<p>Following trends in almost every industry, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 promises 60% AI performance (per watt), along with peak CPU speeds of 2.63 GHz and GPU (graphics processing unit) performance more 50% faster.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Intelligently designed to balance performance and power efficiency, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 mobile platform delivers a selection of premium experiences that are all new to the Snapdragon 7 <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/series\/\"   title=\"series\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">series<\/a>. Working closely with our OEM partners, we are in able to help make the next generation of highly demanded features, such as enhanced AI and extraordinary <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/camera\/\"   title=\"camera\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">camera<\/a> capabilities, more widely available to consumers.<\/span>said Christopher Patrick, senior vice president and general manager of mobile phones at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.qualcomm.com\/products\/mobile\/snapdragon\/smartphones\/snapdragon-7-series-mobile-platforms\/snapdragon-7-gen-3-mobile-platform\" class=\"external\">technical sheet<\/a>, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset is based on TSMC&#8217;s 4nm process technology and houses eight Kryo processors (up to 2.63 GHz).  Additionally, the chipset packs a Qualcomm Adreno GPU that supports OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 2.0 FP, and Vulkan 1.3 APIs.<\/p>\n<p>Other interesting highlights of the new chipset include support for up to 4K resolution displays, 20% power savings, as well as support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.  Additionally, the Snapdragon<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the Qualcomm Spectra ISP supports camera modules up to 200 megapixels with 4K HDR <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/video\/\"   title=\"video\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">video<\/a> at 60 Hz.
