Modern Warfare III Reviews are ‘Mostly Negative’ on Steam and Elsewhere\u060c<\/p>\n
Love it or hate it, Call of Duty is an extremely lucrative franchise, and Modern Warfare III<\/strong> is the latest in a long line of entries. However, the new installment of Activision’s series is not very popular with PC gamers at the moment.<\/p>\n It doesn’t take long to see that Modern Warfare III is being received less than positively, especially on Steam<\/a>. The current review score shows it as “mostly negative”, with a slew of comments and user feedback that aren’t exactly kind to the new COD game.<\/p>\n Some reviews go so far as to be almost comical, with one person saying they “would rather buy WinRar”, while another is literally begging people not to buy MWIII.<\/p>\n A quick glance at Steam Database<\/a> shows that the game currently has a score of 30.16%, with more than twice as many negative reviews as positive ones. A report of PCGamesN<\/a> compares it to Colonial Marines, claiming that Modern Warfare III has a “lower Steam rating” than the universally criticized 2013 title Alien.<\/p>\n At the time of writing, Metacritic<\/a> classifies it as “mixed or average”, with a score of 50, but that still puts it at no. 436 on the list of the site of best games of 2023<\/a>. Additionally, the user’s meta score seems to match what is said on Steam, with players giving it an average of 1.4.<\/p>\n Much of this negativity seems to stem from the fact that Modern Warfare III<\/strong> it feels more like a DLC than a game worth the full price.
