Now get ready for a new OLED version of the portable gaming PC, arriving on November 16.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"is-style-normal is-style-heading-rubik\" id=\"h-this-isn-t-steam-deck-2-however\">It&#8217;s not Steam Deck 2, though.<\/h2>\n<p>A recent video on Valve&#8217;s YouTube channel (along with an announcement on <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/OnDeck\/status\/1722675123067777487\">Twitter\/X<\/a>) teases the latest upcoming edition of the Steam Deck.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from the aforementioned OLED display, the new variant will also offer longer battery life and faster downloads.  It will be available in two versions: a 512 GB model and a 1 TB model.<\/p>\n<p>The Twitter post provides some clarity for those who have noticed some issues on the Steam Store.  The OLED Steam Deck is sold &#8220;in the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/united\/\"   title=\"United\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">United<\/a> States, Canada, European Union, and United Kingdom, as well as Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan (via Komodo).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Introducing Steam Deck OLED - Now Available\" width=\"1290\" height=\"726\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_vTsZMvjJ-A?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>A quick glance at <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/steamdeck\">Steam<\/a> also shows that current Deck models are being sold at discounted prices.  It can&#8217;t be said at this point whether this is just an offer or indicates a more permanent price drop, but it does mean those who haven&#8217;t gotten one yet may consider a non-OLED variant now that they are currently cheaper.<\/p>\n<p>It must be said that the OLED model is not a Steam Deck 2, but simply an improvement over the currently available device.
