This addition aims to increase security during WhatsApp calls by routing them through the platform&#8217;s servers, effectively hiding users&#8217; IP addresses from other call participants.  Meta emphasizes that this feature is specifically designed for privacy-conscious users of the platform, adding an extra layer of privacy.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><\/figure>\n<p>The \u201cProtect IP address in calls\u201d feature aligns with WhatsApp&#8217;s commitment to end-to-end encryption of calls, ensuring that even <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/whatsapp\/\"   title=\"WhatsApp\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">WhatsApp<\/a> itself cannot access the content of conversations. The \u201cRemember IP address when calling\u201d option can be enabled or disabled based on individual preferences.
