‘Thank you for what you’ve done for women’s cricket’ – The cricketing world reacts to Meg Lanning’s retirement،

Meg Lanning announced her retirement from international cricket at the age of 31 on Thursday. Having led Australia to four T20 World Cup titles, one ODI World Cup title and a Commonwealth Games gold medal, she is one of the most successful captains in cricket history. Here’s how the world reacted to his unexpected retirement.

There are a handful of hitters in the game that made me stop what I was doing, just to watch them play. Meg Lanning was one of them. My attachment, appreciation and love for women’s football has grown exponentially because of her batting skills and leadership.

– Ian Raphaël Bishop (@irbishi) November 9, 2023

Congratulations on such a storied career, Meg!
