Google Messages on the web gets easier to pair with account-based pairing\u060c<\/p>\n

Google Messages has become a popular messaging app among Android users, with over 1 billion downloads on the Google Play Store. However, one of the biggest complaints about the app is the need to scan a QR code to use it on multiple devices, such as tablets and computers, simultaneously.<\/p>\n

This could be a pain, especially for users who are constantly switching between devices. To achieve this, Google<\/a> began experimenting a few months ago with a new device pairing system based on Google accounts.<\/p>\n
This new system has made it more convenient to pair your phone with the web version of the app<\/a> without having to scan a QR code. Fortunately, as noted 9to5Google<\/a>After a few months of beta testing, the account-based pairing system is now rolling out to more users.<\/div>\n
According to 9to5 reports, to use the new feature, simply go to the Google Messages web address (messages.google.com\/web<\/a>) and choose to sign in with your Google account. Next, open the Messages app on your phone and match the emoji displayed on both devices to confirm that you want to pair them. Once your choice is confirmed, you will be able to send and receive messages from your computer or tablet.<\/div>\n

Unfortunately, the new buddy system is not yet accessible to everyone. When I tried to use it by going to the Messages by Google<\/a> web page, I saw the option to use Google account sign-in, but I couldn’t complete the process on my phone. In fact, there is a clear notice at the top informing users that the feature may not be available to you yet.<\/p>\n
