Starting in the first quarter of 2024, after watching three consecutive episodes of a TV show, the fourth episode will be ad-free.<\/p>\n<h2>Plans for the ad-supported plan<\/h2>\n<p>Netflix spokesperson Nikki Merkouris announced today that by the end of this <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/week\/\"   title=\"week\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">week<\/a>, the company will make good on its promise to also allow subscribers to download content for offline viewing.  The move will make Netflix the only streaming service with an ad-supported tier allowing content downloads.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"quote quote-auto nolinks\" style=\"width: 100.0%\">\n<p>Our goal is not just to offer the same products and tools that the industry expects \u2013 although we have made a lot of progress in this area over the past year.  It&#8217;s about building something bigger and better than what exists today&#8230; We want to shape the future of advertising on Netflix and help marketers tap into the incredible fandom generated by our shows and our must-see films.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Starting in early 2024, advertisers will have the option to allow ad-supported tier viewers to watch fewer ads.  This will materialize in a new ad format that will skip ads after watching three consecutive episodes, making the fourth less disruptive to watch.  It&#8217;s a great way to enjoy your favorite shows without having to watch too many commercials.<\/p>\n<div>The company says it has now amassed 15 million monthly active users worldwide, a number that has most certainly been helped by the launch of the new plan.  Now, with these recent changes and those coming in 2024, Netflix is \u200b\u200bgiving viewers a great reason to jump on the service if they haven&#8217;t already.
