Tomorrow night, Apple will host a rare nighttime event that it has dubbed “Scary Fast” as some of the new devices that will be revealed include Macs powered by the zippy 3nm M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max chipsets that run “scary fast.” “. And although well-connected Bloomberg scribe Mark Gurman said we shouldn’t expect new iPads until March, rumors say as many as three new iPads could be revealed tomorrow. Those three include the 11th generation base iPad, an M2-powered iPad Air, and a new iPad mini.<\/div>\n
Information discovered by MacRumors<\/a> shows that two Apple suppliers have resubmitted filings to a Chinese regulatory agency regarding batteries used in current Apple devices. These products include the latest 14-inch MacBook, a 16-inch MacBook Pro<\/a>, the Magic Keyboard for Mac and… the iPad mini. Batteries for these products were originally filed in 2021 and were resubmitted this month with delivery dates of October 2023.<\/div>\n
The battery capacities in the new listings are exactly the same as in 2021, which means that Apple will not equip the aforementioned devices with larger batteries. This doesn’t mean we won’t see the battery life of these devices get longer, as the new chipsets should be able to offer better power efficiency. Also keep in mind that the fact that the iPad mini’s battery is included in the filing with the regulatory agency does not guarantee that the next-generation version of the 8.3-inch tablet will be announced tomorrow.<\/div>\n
