He enjoyed a 13-year career in Test rugby and, in doing so, became England&#8217;s record appearance holder in men&#8217;s rugby. A player who has seen a lot in four World Cups and has played an important role in this team in helping the team, notably Alex Mitchell, progress. But since then he has established himself as a key scrum-half under four different managers: Martin Johnson, Stuart Lancaster, Eddie Jones and Borthwick.<\/p>\n<p>Youngs broke the England men&#8217;s record in February 2022 when he faced Wales in the Six Nations, in what was his 115th England appearance, surpassing Jason Leonard&#8217;s record of 114.<\/p>\n<p>He has won four Six Nations titles with England (2011, 2016, 2017, 2020) and started the World Cup final against South Africa in 2019. He has also won two test caps for the British and Irish Lions in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>He becomes the second England player to confirm his international retirement following their semi-final defeat to South Africa on Saturday.
