Almost always, spam emails hang up automatically.

It’s not as useful as knowing who’s calling. Of course, it’s up to you whether you want to use Google Assistant to screen a call from a caller known as a family member, but that can easily turn out to be a bad idea.

Now things are different

Now, Google Assistant call screening has a new option that only appears to people on your contacts list. By tapping the new “Ask in an Emergency” option, your friend or family member who calls you receives a slightly friendlier greeting from the Google Assistant: “Hello, I’m a Google’s virtual assistant on a registered line. The person you’re trying to contact wanted me to check if it’s urgent? »

As before, Assistant transcribes and displays what the caller says in response, while the Phone app provides accessible options for requesting more information.

Right now, the new “Ask in an Emergency” option is available on Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, but some confirm they’re getting it on their Pixel 7 Pro as well.

Pixel’s Google Assistant can now “Ask if urgent” when your contacts call you، “Should I take this again or not?” I don’t want to – but it might be urgent.
