Last week we reported on a floating navigation bar being tested in Keep for creating new notes, similar to the design used in Google Chat.  However, it seems that <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/google\/\"   title=\"Google\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">Google<\/a> is now experimenting with another way to enter your notes.<\/p>\n<div>As reported <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/thespandroid.blogspot.com\/2024\/03\/Google-keep-tests-another-fab-button-for-new-notes.html\" class=\"external\">LeSPAndroid<\/a>, a new update to Google Keep (version 5.24.112) highlights another iteration of the new note button.  Digging into the code for this release, it appears that the floating navbar is a thing of the past.  The new experimental update introduces a Floating Action Button (FAB), the iconic circular button with a plus sign often found in Google&#39;s design language.  This choice reflects the design of Google Calendar.<\/div>\n<div>\n<div id=\"gallery-791b63dc-8ad1-4f9a-96b8-fbb31c100d4a\" class=\"single-image-container full-width-element\">\n<div class=\"gallery-item\">\n<picture style=\"padding-top: 100%\"><source media=\"(max-width: 350px)\" ><source media=\"(min-width: 351px) and (max-width: 500px)\" ><source media=\"(min-width: 501px) and (max-width: 800px)\" ><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Google-continues-to-experiment-with-ways-you-can-enter-notes.jpg\" alt=\"Google continues to experiment with ways to enter notes in Keep\"\/><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/picture>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Image Source: TheSPAndroid<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This new floating button replaces the entire bottom navigation of the Keep interface.  Tapping this FAB expands it vertically to provide three distinct options: draw a note, create a list, or create a text note.<\/p>\n<p>While unexpected, this change indicates that Google isn&#39;t done tweaking Google Keep&#39;s interface in pursuit of the most intuitive note-taking experience.  Using the FAB instead of the floating bar we saw last <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/week\/\"   title=\"week\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">week<\/a> offers some advantages.  Reducing the bottom bar frees up more screen space for your notes, which can now be taken with a single click.  Additionally, the FAB button aligns with Google&#39;s material design trends, so it offers a familiar design that may be more intuitive for those who regularly use Google&#39;s apps.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, this is still an experimental feature and there is no guarantee that it will be rolled out to a wider audience.  However, it illustrates Google&#39;s commitment to streamlining Google Keep&#39;s features and interface.
