This year, AI-based features have taken center stage, with Google and Samsung already <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/2024\/03\/20\/google-pixel-us-market-share-2023\/\" class=\"external\">reap the profit<\/a> to be early adopters.  In a bid to not be left behind, Apple is also reportedly bringing AI features to the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/iphone\/\"   title=\"iPhone\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">iPhone<\/a> 16. This is because the AI \u200b\u200bmodels rely on data generated by various components of a device, such as scans, cameras and sensors.  More storage will therefore be required to provide them with more data.<\/p>\n<p>Apple could also end up increasing both storage and RAM, so 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage could be standard across the range. <\/p>\n<h2>If data centers are going to do the heavy lifting, will the <span>iPhone16<\/span> really need more RAM or storage?<\/h2>\n<div>As an aside, many of the Galaxy <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/s24\/\"   title=\"S24\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">S24<\/a> and Pixel 8&#39;s AI features are cloud-powered, so if Apple goes this route, the <span>iPhone16<\/span> may not really need a RAM or storage increase.  Recent reports indicate that the company is in talks with ChatGPT&#39;s OpenAI, <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/google\/\"   title=\"Google\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">Google<\/a> and China&#39;s Baidu to bring AI capabilities to the market. <span>iPhone16<\/span>.
