Payment cannot be made on Saturday or Sunday.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"inline inline-photo full\">\n<figure><picture><source data- media=\"(min-width: 376px)\"><source data- media=\"(max-width: 375px)\"><img class=\" lazyload lazyload\" data-image-container=\".inline-photo\" height=\"320\" width=\"570\"\/><\/source><\/source><\/picture><figcaption class=\"photoCaption\">Dani Alves in court during his trial last month. <cite>Photo by JORDI BORRAS\/POOL\/AFP via Getty Images<\/cite><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Sources told ESPN earlier this <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/week\/\"   title=\"week\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">week<\/a> that Alves was exploring different avenues to raise the million euros, including releasing some of his assets and demanding the money owed to him by the Spanish tax authority.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the father of Brazilian star Neymar, a former teammate of Alves, said neither he nor his son would help him post bail.<\/p>\n<p>Neymar Sr. confirmed he had helped Alves with money since his arrest in early 2023, but explained that was before his conviction for sexual assault at a Barcelona nightclub in late 2022 was confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>For Alves to be released, he must surrender his Brazilian and Spanish passports, in addition to posting bail, and is prohibited from leaving the country.
