If you use Android, but don't like Chinese brand phones, you're looking at the Google Pixel 8 Pro<\/a>… or the Galaxy S24 series<\/a>.<\/p>\n

All of these cameras benefit from AI assistance, but the Galaxy S24<\/span> goes even further: this handset was presented as an AI phone!<\/p>\n

Let's take a closer look at Samsung's ProVisual engine<\/a> and what he does. <\/p>\n

Animated photo<\/h2>\n

Motion Photo has another useful feature: it can provide long exposure type images. From the Gallery app<\/a>, users can compress the entire three-second animated photo to create a single long exposure image. Instant Slow Motion (and How It Works)<\/h2>\n

Many moments in life lend themselves to slow motion images. Although videos already captured at \u201cnormal\u201d speed can be converted to slow motion clips. On the Galaxy S24<\/span>this is done using intelligent AI Frame Rate Conversion (AI FRC) technology. <\/p>\n

THE Galaxy S24<\/span> The series can turn 24fps HD videos to 60fps UHD into slow-motion epics. FHD 240fps to UHD 120fps slow motion videos can go even further with super slow motion. By generating new intermediate motion frames based on the already present video<\/a>, Instant Slow-mo delivers impressive results. Starting in late March, Instant Slow-mo will be expanded to support 480\u00d7480 videos at 24fps, allowing users to easily create video content suitable for social media.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what AI Frame Rate Conversion (FRC) technology does:<\/p>\n

  1. First, AI FRC takes every two frames of the video as it was originally recorded and uses a deep learning model to analyze and extract motion information.<\/li>\n
  2. Extracting this information establishes the differences between frames and helps AI FRC interpolate intermediate frames that slow down the video.<\/li>\n
  3. This process is performed twice \u2013 in square dimension and in reverse dimension \u2013 to improve the accuracy of the new additional images generated.<\/li>\n
  4. Then, two fusion processes are performed: Fusion Map and Residual. Fusion Map detects and extracts 2D edges to help detect motion differences between frames, while Residual adds additional corrections and post-edits to fine details for increased accuracy. This allows the feature to create accurate intermediate images extremely quickly.<\/li>\n
  5. Once this is complete, the outputs from these two processes are merged one last time to render the final AI-generated intermediate frames that give the video both smooth slow motion and meticulous detail.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Natural density filters<\/h2>\n

    Natural density (ND) filters, typically used with professional cameras to manage light exposure, reduce noise, or extend exposure times, are essential for improving photo quality. The Galaxy 24 series elevates this concept by incorporating 10 separate ND filters directly into its camera<\/a> system, eliminating the need for external mounts.<\/p>\n

    This built-in functionality allows a greater degree of creative freedom and control for the user. By blending multiple images and assessing movement within the scene, ND filtered images capture a single, static image that vividly conveys the dynamic movement of subjects like waves or waterfalls, providing a realistic snapshot of movement.<\/p>\n
