Rich Communication Services (RCS) allows Android users to send messages to other Android users through the RCS platform to take advantage of many of the fabulous features that Apple offers to those who chat with iMessage. These features include end-to-end encryption, read receipts, input indicators, high-quality image sharing, the ability to type longer messages, and more. Later this year, Apple will add RCS support to the iPhone<\/a>, allowing iPhone users chatting with an Android user to take advantage of the aforementioned features.<\/div>\n
According to SamMobile<\/a>, some Galaxy phone users are experiencing issues while using RCS. More than Reddit<\/a>, some Android phone owners have noticed that chats with a few Samsung device users switch between RCS SMS and old-fashioned SMS. As Redditor with username Atehrani<\/span> wrote: “I use Google<\/a> Messages and [with] friends who use Samsung Messages, sometimes I get RCS and sometimes it switches me to SMS. \u201cThis is important because once chat moves to SMS, these fabulous features we've been talking about will disappear.<\/div>\n

Another Reddit user, grizzlycurrent<\/span>, said: “Now that you mention it, I notice that the people whose chats are constantly switching between RCS and SMS have Samsung phones.” And another Reddit user, KirsUkh0sm41gh1989, posted: “Well, honestly, it happened to me that sometimes my contacts who also use Samsung stop showing RCS branding and can't receive any RCS messages, but after a few days , it works again. but the rest of my contacts receive the RCS without problem.”<\/p>\n
