More evidence of impending Pixel 8a launch pops up\u060c<\/p>\n

The Pixel 8a is rumored to have appeared on the The FCC website<\/a>signaling that Google is preparing for the phone's announcement.<\/div>\n
Google's current mid-range phone was announced at last year's developer conference, and the company recently announced that I\/O 2024 will begin on May 14, fueling speculation that the Pixel 8a<\/span> was about to be launched.<\/div>\n

FCC certification is a prerequisite for selling phones in the United<\/a> States and ensures that phones sold in the country meet a specific set of standards.<\/p>\n

As The Droid's Life<\/a><\/span>who was the first to spot the inscription, note, four Pixel 8a<\/span> models have been seen on the website: G8HNN, GKV4X, G6GPR and G576D. The G6GPR variant was leaked in late January when someone posted images of the phone's retail box. The different model numbers signify minor differences between the different variants, such as the presence of mmWave connectivity.<\/div>\n

The FCC listing appears to confirm that the phone will support wireless charging, contactless payments, and Wi-Fi 6E. <\/p>\n

The FCC filing doesn't contain any photos, but leaks tell us the phone will be taller, narrower, and thinner than the 7a and will have noticeably curved corners.<\/div>\n

This year, Google<\/a> might also introduce a 256GB model and the device will be available in Obsidian, Porcelain, Bay and Mint.<\/p>\n

Aside from the Tensor G3 chip, Google doesn't appear to have any significant upgrades planned for the phone, but it will likely have many of the same AI features as the Pixel 8 duo. <\/div>\n
Trade sources suggest that despite minimal hardware improvements, the phone will cost more than the Pixel 7a, which costs $499.
