The latest WhatsApp beta introduces a new unlock toggle with biometrics that allows the use of fingerprint, face, or other unique identifiers when enabled.<\/p>\n
Currently, WhatsApp<\/a> users can only use biometric authentication, limiting the functionality to certain devices only. Adding unique IDs allows anyone using WhatsApp to secure their chats using a password on the device. <\/p>\n According to WABetaInfo<\/a>, the new feature is available to some users who have installed WhatsApp for Android beta version 2.24.6.20.
