If there is an unveiling of a 3,000 nit display, it could happen as early as before the end of the month \u2013 on October 24, at an event in China.<\/p>\n<p>OnePlus <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/weibo.com\/3871046669\/NoGLodF2t\">teased the event on Weibo<\/a>, saying: \u201cSunrise-East!  In 30 years, we have gone from falling behind to catching up, then to overtaking.  On October 24, OnePlus is teaming up with BOE to invite you to witness a historic moment for Chinese screens!<\/p>\n<p>While there are no technical details on what to expect from the &#8220;Chinese displays&#8221; mentioned above, the popular <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/weibo.com\/6048569942\/NoGJkclro\">Digital Tipster Chat Station<\/a> says that this new screen will have a \u201c2K\u201d resolution and a brightness of 3,000 nits.  The post also claims that BOE will later announce another display with 3,000 nits brightness that will have a \u201c1.5K\u201d resolution.  According to the tipster, both displays will have 2,160Hz PWM dimming and \u201csingle-pulse DC.\u201dOn the eve of the <a href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/2297\/original_title-5\/\">OnePlus<\/a> Open unveiling, the specs leaked and made headlines with claims of a peak brightness of 2,800 nits \u2013 and rightly so, as that (on paper) means it&#8217;s is the brightest screen on a phone in the world (on paper). <\/p>\n<p>Although the OnePlus 12 is still a few months away, it could feature the new 3,000 nits display from the OnePlus and BOE collaboration.
