Time to vote, Instagram fellows: Polls in the comments coming soon\u060c<\/p>\n

It’s not even November 2024 and it’s already time to vote! Some Instagram users are benefiting from a new feature that allows them to create polls in the comments of their posts.<\/p>\n

Engadget<\/a> has the story \u2013 for now, the new Instagram polls feature is not available to everyone, but only to certain creators who can now attract more attention to their posts. <\/p>\n

The new feature of the social network was revealed by Adam Mosseri, the boss of Instagram. He announced the test on his broadcast channel<\/a>, noting that Instagram polls could be added to comments on feed posts and Reels. <\/p>\n

Its boss, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, said in his own update that this is just a small test for now, but will be rolling out to all Instagram accounts soon.<\/p>\n

This isn’t the first time Instagram users have voted<\/h2>\n

Of course, polls on Instagram are nothing new, but until now it was only possible to vote on polls in Stories in the form of a sticker. As Adam Mosseri’s screenshot shows, other users could see the statistics behind a given poll, such as the total number of people who voted.<\/p>\n

Missing at this point are details on how long these feedback polls will remain open after they are opened for voting. It could very well be that the users who assemble them have the possibility to set a lifespan for the survey. Are mail-in ballots allowed?<\/p>\n

The comments section is getting richer<\/h2>\n

More or less, six months have passed since Instagram decided to strengthen the comments section of posts.
