This was due to the new Reactions feature launched by Apple with iOS 17.<\/div>\n<div>With Reactions, certain gestures trigger a response and since the feature is enabled by default, someone unfamiliar with Reactions, like Senator Fetterman for example, could find themselves in an awkward or uncomfortable position.  Yes, <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/iphone\/\"   title=\"iPhone\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">iPhone<\/a>, iPad, and Mac users have a way to turn off reactions on FaceTime and we&#39;ll get to that soon.  For now we would like to mention that <span>iOS 17<\/span>.4, which is expected to be released next <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/week\/\"   title=\"week\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">week<\/a>, includes a new API that will give video conferencing app developers the ability to turn off reactions by default, making it a feature that users should choose to use instead of have to unsubscribe.  to turn it off.<center><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Fetterman threw the confetti over Zoom on MSNBC <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/fpylDiU1uc\">pic.twitter.com\/fpylDiU1uc<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2013Andy Kaczynski (@KFILE) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KFILE\/status\/1761108102575710607?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 23, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/center><\/div>\n<p>In other words, if Zoom wanted to reduce the number of embarrassing and embarrassing incidents, it could, once <span>iOS 17<\/span>.4 has been released to the public, reactions are disabled by default.<\/p>\n<p>The current list of Reactions answers for <span>iOS 17<\/span>iPadOS 17 and macOS Sonoma looks like this:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To show red hearts, use both hands to make a heart sign.<\/li>\n<li>    To show balloons, make a victory sign (peace sign).<\/li>\n<li>    To display a thumbs-up emoji, hold a thumbs up.<\/li>\n<li>    To view a thumbs down emoji, hold a thumbs down.<\/li>\n<li>    To view stormy rain, hold two thumbs down.<\/li>\n<li>    To show confetti, make two victory signs (peace signs).<\/li>\n<li>    To show fireworks, raise two thumbs.<\/li>\n<li>    To display the laser beams, make the Hook &#39;em Horns sign on each hand.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you want to turn off reactions on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, follow these instructions:<\/p>\n<p>Open the FaceTime app.<\/p>\n<div>Swipe down from the right corner of the screen to open Control Center (from an iPhone SE, swipe up). <\/div>\n<p>Tap Video Effects.<\/p>\n<p>Tap the feedback \u201cpill\u201d to turn off the feature.
