Not only does this mean it is no longer available in Early Access, but the patch that has started rolling out contains many changes and fixes.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"is-style-normal is-style-heading-rubik\" id=\"h-including-new-mutants-and-a-new-title-screen\">Including new mutants and a new title screen<\/h2>\n<p>A recent <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/news\/app\/1326470\/view\/4192358592270167292?l=english\">publish to Steam<\/a> describes exactly what version 1.0 comes with.  The developer begins by saying how the team is &#8220;super excited for you to be able to play all the new additions, changes, and fixes.&#8221;  Sons of the Forest was released in 2023 to critical praise and has been kept in good condition through frequent updates.<\/p>\n<p>It was originally released as an Early Access title on Steam almost a year ago to the day, but this latest patch represents a full release of the survival horror game.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Hello everyone,<\/p>\n<p>Sons Of The Forest v1.0 will be released today at 10:00 AM PT!<\/p>\n<p>We are all very excited about the new additions and improvements and can&#39;t wait for everyone to play.<\/p>\n<p>The late night team <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/43tGTPSK4g\">pic.twitter.com\/43tGTPSK4g<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Late Night Games (@EndNightGame) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EndNightGame\/status\/1760694084514320427?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 22, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Among the long list of new features and improvements, you can expect things like five new cutscenes, the addition of raccoons to the titular forest, a new cave and much more.<\/p>\n<p>There have also been a number of gameplay adjustments, such as the ability to carry up to four stones, as well as some AI improvements.  The full patch notes are quite a read, with too much to list here.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Son of the Forest<\/strong> is the sequel to the 2014 indie survival horror game The Forest.
