Motorola appears to have new handsets in the works according to 91mobiles<\/a> which spotted them on several certification sites, including the FCC, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), and the IMEI website. In addition to the new phones, accessories and components such as a wireless charger, an adapter for wired charging and a new battery were seen at TUV Rheinland. The latter tests, inspects and certifies the safety of different products.<\/div>\n
On the FCC website, Motorola<\/a> handsets with model numbers XT2403-1, XT2403-2, XT2403-4 and XT2403-5 were discovered. According to 91mobiles, these phones could be the Motorola Edge 50 series<\/a>. Model numbers XT2403-1 and XT2431-1 were listed on the BIS site. According to 91mobiles, phones represented by model numbers between XT2403-1 and XT2403-6 are likely different variants of the Motorola Edge 50\/Edge 50 Pro<\/a>. Model number XT2403-2 supports E-SIM.<\/div>\n

Here is an interesting confirmation that these phones are related to the Motorola Edge 50 series. On the IMEI website, the model number XT2403-2 appears with the codename \u201cMacan24\u201d. It's interesting because Hall of Fame runaway Evan Blass<\/a> recently wrote in a tweet that \u201cThe upcoming Motorola Edge 50 Pro is codenamed \u201cMacan\u201d. This means that the phones listed on the FCC and BIS websites could be different versions of the Motorola Edge 50 Pro.<\/div>\n

Other listings tell us that the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will be powered by a 4,500mAh battery with support for up to 125W fast wired charging and support for 50W wireless charging. This is based on Motorola's listings on the TUV Rheinland site which show:<\/p>\n

  • 4,500 mAh battery (model number QM45).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Given that the Motorola Edge 40 Pro was released in April 2023, we'd say it looks like the Edge 50 Pro is about to release in April.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
