Apple is trying to position the iPad Air line as powerful tablets just one level below the high-end iPad Pro slates.  Speaking of the latter, both iPad Pros are expected to feature OLED panels this year, the first iPads to have the feature.  We&#39;re happy to see Apple shaking up its iPad lineup, because since the pandemic ended, the tablet market, including the iPad, needs some changes.<\/div>\n<div><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2024\/02\/20\/larger-ipad-air-thinner-ipad-pro\/\" class=\"external\">9to5Mac<\/a> has received information from its sources on some dimensions and model numbers of the upcoming iPad slates.  The two iPad Air tablets, one with a 10.9-inch screen like the current version of the tablet, and the other model with the aforementioned 12.9-inch screen, will carry the model numbers J507 and J537, respectively. .<\/div>\n<div>\n<div id=\"gallery-482e4758-3794-41a6-a1eb-119f9f9e2738\" class=\"single-image-container  image-c\" style=\"width:881px;max-width:100%\">\n<div class=\"gallery-item\">\n<picture style=\"padding-top: 78.320090805902%\"><source media=\"(max-width: 350px)\" ><source media=\"(min-width: 351px) and (max-width: 500px)\" ><source media=\"(min-width: 501px) and (max-width: 800px)\" ><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Dimensions-of-the-new-iPad-Pro-and-iPad-Air-tablets.jpg\" alt=\"Apple expected to launch 12.9-inch iPad Air with larger screen next month - Dimensions of new iPad Pro and iPad Air tablets leaked\"\/><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/picture>\n<\/div>\n<p>Apple expected to launch 12.9-inch iPad Air with larger screen next month<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The 12.9-inch iPad Air will measure 280.6mm x 214.9mm x 6.0mm, which is almost exactly the same as the 2022 12.9-inch iPad <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/pro\/\"   title=\"Pro\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">Pro<\/a> which measures 280.6mm x 214, 9mm x 6.4mm.  The new 12.9-inch iPad Pro will be slightly larger but thinner.  This is because OLED panels don&#39;t have as many layers as LCD panels, which explains the 1.4mm difference in thickness between the currently available 12.9-inch iPad Pro (6.4mm) and the expected 5mm thickness of the 12.9-inch iPad 2024.  Pro.<\/p>\n<p>The move from LCD to OLED will also make the 11-inch iPad Pro thinner.  The 2022 model measures 247.6mm x 178.5mm x 5.9mm compared to the 249.7mm x 177.5mm x 5.1mm dimensions of the 2024 11-inch iPad Pro according to 9to5Mac&#39;s source.  The new model will be 0.8 mm thinner.<\/p>\n<div>While the 2024 iPad Pro lineup is expected to be powered by the Apple M3 chipset (instead of the M2) and have additional storage options available, the new iPad Air <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/series\/\"   title=\"series\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">series<\/a> could either move from the M1 to M2 chipset or move from the M1 to M3.
