{"id":26649,"date":"2024-02-20T17:46:07","date_gmt":"2024-02-20T14:46:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/26649\/six-nations-week-3-team\/"},"modified":"2024-02-20T17:46:08","modified_gmt":"2024-02-20T14:46:08","slug":"six-nations-week-3-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/?p=26649","title":{"rendered":"Six Nations Week 3 team news: Costelow back at fly-half for Wales"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Six Nations Week 3 team news: Costelow back at fly-half for Wales\u060c<\/p>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"inline inline-photo full\">\n<figure><picture><source data- media=\"(min-width: 376px)\"><source data- media=\"(max-width: 375px)\"><img class=\" lazyload lazyload\" data-image-container=\".inline-photo\" height=\"320\" width=\"570\"\/><\/source><\/source><\/picture><figcaption class=\"photoCaption\">Sam Costelow started in Wales&#39; narrow defeat to Scotland. <cite>(Photo by Ian Cook \u2013 CameraSport via Getty Images<\/cite><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>After a weekend off following the opening two matches, the Six Nations returns on Saturday with Ireland looking all-conquering, England undefeated and Wales still searching for their first <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/win\/\"   title=\"win\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">win<\/a> of the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>England travel to Murrayfield to face Scotland on Saturday after Ireland host Wales, ahead of Sunday&#39;s clash between France and Italy.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#39;s all the team news and everything you need to know ahead of the weekend.<\/p>\n<h2>Ireland vs Wales, Saturday 2.15pm, Aviva Stadium, Dublin<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"inline inline-photo full\">\n<figure><picture><source data- media=\"(min-width: 376px)\"><source data- media=\"(max-width: 375px)\"><img class=\" lazyload lazyload\" data-image-container=\".inline-photo\" height=\"320\" width=\"570\"\/><\/source><\/source><\/picture><figcaption class=\"photoCaption\">Ireland have looked imperious so far in their Six Nations campaign. <cite>Photo by David Rogers\/Getty Images<\/cite><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Sam Costelow returns to fly-half for Wales after suffering an injury during their clash with Ireland in Dublin on Saturday, the only change to the team since their last Six Nations outing.<\/p>\n<p>Costelow missed the 16-14 defeat to England in their previous match two weeks ago with a neural neck injury, but is back in the squad that manager Warren Gatland named on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Cardiff number 8 Mackenzie Martin has been named among the substitutes for the first time and is in line for his first cap if he faces the Irish.<\/p>\n<p>The 20-year-old from Cardiff replaces Taine Basham in the 23-<a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/man\/\"   title=\"man\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">man<\/a> squad and could become the 1,200th Welsh international.<\/p>\n<p>Costelow, 23, was sent off in the first half of Wales&#39; opening match against Scotland and his replacement Ioan Lloyd, also from the Scarlets, helped orchestrate a fightback as they came back from 27-0 to one point away from obtaining a result.<\/p>\n<p>But Lloyd returned to the bench after an ineffective performance against England at Twickenham.<\/p>\n<p>Wales are seeking their first success in this year&#39;s Six Nations, but face a rampant Ireland, who have won both of their opening matches.<\/p>\n<p>We&#39;re excited to be going to Dublin and competing against one of the best teams in world <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/rugby\/\"   title=\"rugby\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">rugby<\/a>.
