This nifty feature is particularly handy for people juggling two SIM cards on their smartphone, one for personal use and the other for business use. Today, the good news is that this feature is now available to all 2.7 billion WhatsApp users. official announcement, WhatsApp is rolling out the possibility of having two accounts connected simultaneously within the official application. This change starts today, so keep an eye out for it on your Android and iOS devices.

With this new feature, you will no longer need to log out every time or carry two phones. Setting up a second account requires either a second phone number and a second SIM card, or a phone that supports multi-SIM or eSIM.

To use two accounts, simply dive into your WhatsApp settings, click the arrow next to your name and tap “Add Account.” You get the added benefit of controlling privacy and notification settings for each account separately.

Previously, people with two phone numbers had to either lug around two phones or install two apps on specific Android skins and use the WhatsApp Business app on iOS, which, let’s be real, was a bit of a hassle. So, support for two accounts at once is a welcome update.

Whatsapp is on the rise with new features and constant updates. Just recently, it officially launched its channel functionality globally. You can also share your screen during video calls. And that’s not all, because the app now also supports passwords, so at least no more forgotten password drama for Android users.

Two for one: WhatsApp makes it official- multiple accounts on a single device، Earlier in August this year, we let you know that WhatsApp was testing an exciting feature, multiple account support, for its beta users.
