And the best part: the game is completely free for the next few days.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"is-style-normal is-style-heading-rubik\" id=\"h-doesn-t-even-require-a-copy-of-the-game\">Doesn&#39;t even require a copy of the game<\/h2>\n<p>The Omega update \u201cinvites everyone to embark on a new shared interstellar expedition,\u201d the description on YouTube says.  Even if you don&#39;t actually <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.destructoid.com\/tag\/no-mans-sky\/\">No Man&#39;s Sky<\/a>you can discover the new content, free until Monday February 19 at 6 p.m. GMT.<\/p>\n<p>An article on the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nomanssky.com\/omega-update\/\">official site<\/a> goes into more detail. There was also a rework of the Atlas Path mission, &#8220;resulting in a final and consequential choice.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NoMansSky\/status\/1758132824631386298\">post on<\/a> According to developer Hello Games&#39; co-founder Sean Murray, Omega represents a &#8220;time for new players to try No Man&#39;s Sky and for existing players to welcome them into the community.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Given the game&#39;s initial launch in 2016 &#8211; which sparked controversy due to the feeling that Murray had misled the public about the content &#8211; several likely abandoned NMS and never returned.<\/p>\n<p>However, over the years the team has worked tirelessly to make vast improvements, releasing numerous free DLCs to go beyond people&#39;s expectations.<\/p>\n<p>These days, <strong>No Man&#39;s Sky<\/strong> is enjoying a much better reception, with a dedicated fan base who can&#39;t get enough of the universe exploration title. <\/p>\n<p>So if you haven&#39;t gotten into it yet \u2013 or if you stopped playing early on \u2013 now seems like a good time to take a look.
