OpenAI is coming for its search engine throne, according to a hot new rumor.<\/p>\n<p>This means that in the future one could &#8220;OpenAI-ng&#8221; instead of &#8220;Google&#8221;, like <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/mspoweruser.com\/in-the-future-you-might-be-openai-ng-it-instead-of-googling-it-rumored-web-search-product\/\" class=\"external\">MSPower User<\/a> States.  The source is <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theinformation.com\/articles\/openai-develops-web-search-product-in-challenge-to-google\" class=\"external\">Information<\/a>, citing an anonymous insider who claims that OpenAI is currently developing a web search product.  Details remain unclear: will the search tool be integrated into the popular ChatGPT platform\u2026 or it could be a separate, standalone product.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless, it is clear that such a decision directly targets Google&#39;s hegemony over search engines.  OpenAI made the decision \u201cShoot for the stars!\u201d  \u00bb mantra literally and it will be <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">very<\/span> Interesting to see what comes out of this. <\/p>\n<p>If it&#39;s real.
