As spotted by tipster Ishan Agarwal (via Android Font), Samsung is offering a firmware update for Galaxy Buds 2, Buds 2 Pro, and Buds FE users. With this update, users can now immerse themselves in the AI-powered live translation functionality when connected to a Galaxy S24 serial telephone.

Samsung announces OTA with #GalaxyAI features for Galaxy Buds FE, Buds 2 and Buds2 Pro!

– Live translation
– Interpreter

Both features only work when connected to the Galaxy S24 series at the moment. Just a warning, though, you may need to get an additional language pack to unlock some languages. At the moment it appears that the update is only available for the Galaxy S24 series. But this could be extended to other series later. Indians have spotted the update and it is expected to reach other regions in the coming weeks.

Galaxy AI is expected to be available on older devices via the One UI 6.1 update, scheduled for release next month. Samsung has not yet provided specific information on which Galaxy AI features will be accessible on older phones. In addition to the Galaxy S23 series, including the Galaxy S23 FE, One UI 6.1 is reportedly heading to the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9.

If you want to experience all of Galaxy AI's features right away, getting a Samsung Galaxy S24 model is one of the quickest ways to do so.
