Report: New Details on Xbox Published Games Coming to PlayStation\u060c<\/p>\n

We still live in an age where consoles retain a certain degree of exclusivity, and Xbox<\/strong> is no exception to this. However, it's possible that Microsoft could open things up a bit by allowing some of its games to be available on non-Xbox platforms.<\/p>\n

Maybe we'll find out this week<\/h2>\n

According to sources speaking to The edge<\/a>, titles like the PS5 and Nintendo Switch could see some Xbox-exclusive titles released on them. As for those in particular, it has been alleged that Hi-Fi Rush, the hit rhythm game from Tango Gameworks, could be one of them.<\/p>\n

Alongside this, we could also see Obsidian Entertainment's medieval, text-heavy Pentment coming to rival consoles as well. Microsoft is also “considering releasing Sea of \u200b\u200bThieves” on competing systems, and “other first-party titles are also under consideration.”<\/p>\n

While still only rumors at this point, allowing the above exclusives \u2013 as well as others \u2013 to be available on Sony<\/a> and Nintendo platforms would represent a “seismic shift in strategy” and not a decision \u201cMicrosoft will have taken it lightly.\u201d<\/p>\n

The company is asking fans to tune in to a “special edition” of the Official Xbox Podcast this Thursday. According to a recent article on X, Phil Spencer, Sarah Bond and Matt Booty will share “Xbox activity updates.”<\/p>\n

Given this, it is possible that we will learn more about the veracity of the speculations. If so, it could open up a new world of consoles abandoning ironclad exclusivity policies. Maybe one day we'll see The Last of Us or Death Stranding on Xbox Series<\/a> X|S. However, at this point, this is pure speculation.<\/p>\n

For now we will have to check the Xbox<\/strong> podcast this week<\/a>. Hopefully all will be revealed about what the company has planned regarding the possible future of exclusivity.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
