With an update to Google's cross-device services, users with multiple Android devices, such as phones and tablets, could soon be part of this integrated experience. Google's cross-device services allow you to easily move data between devices. Used for Chromebooks, it could soon work with Android devices as well. Android AssembleDebug Expert (via Android Font) spotted potential tighter integration for Android devices. By activating the hidden flags, the tipster revealed a new setup screen, shedding light on how these services might work.

Cross-device services in Google Play Services

✓ Call Cast
✓ Wifi sharing
✓ Hotspot sharing

May be enabled in the next Play Services beta. Additionally, Google also announces that other features are on the way. To avoid unintended links, manual confirmation is required for device groupings. By default, recently connected Android devices will receive invitations, but you can unsubscribe during the process. Toggles in the configuration allow you to control shared features and remove individual devices from the group.

Although the cross-device services interface is accessible with developer flags, the official announcement and widespread deployment is still pending. Given the successful demos and near-complete completion of the interface, Google may soon unveil cross-device services, possibly during the March Feature Drop for eligible Pixel models.

Android prepares for deeper integration: Sharing calls, hotspots, and more between devices، Google is already creating an ecosystem similar to Apple's, connecting Android phones and Chromebooks to share internet access, notifications and messaging apps via screen streaming.
