Threads tests a bookmarking feature just like the one Instagram has\u060c<\/p>\n

Instagram Threads is experimenting with a new feature that mirrors the functionality found on Instagram proper: the ability to save posts for later viewing. Announced by Instagram head Adam Mosseri, the limited test allows users to favorite their posts via a three-dot menu in the upper right corner.<\/p>\n

This latest update includes a new save feature that complements the existing favorites option on Instagram. Similar to Instagram's existing favorites system, users will have a “save” button to store posts and find them later in a dedicated section in the app's settings. This feature could be incredibly useful for returning to content, especially posts with links to longer articles, at a more convenient time. This addition responds to user requests and aims to improve the organization within the application.<\/p>\n

Since its launch last year, Threads has continued to add new features to attract users and stay competitive with X and other social networks. Threads is currently missing some features like direct messaging, advanced search filters, and list building.<\/p>\n

However, the app recently introduced searchable tags, the ability to see all the articles you liked on the web version<\/a>, and rumors are circulating about the possible inclusion of a chronological search and trending topics. The latter is however viewed with great caution due to spam issues, but internal prototypes are still spotted.<\/div>\n
Despite these shortcomings, Threads has amassed an impressive 130 million monthly users, according to a recent report. Statement from Mark Zuckerberg<\/a> \u2013 and has recently seen an increase in app downloads. Zuckerberg sees Threads as a potential platform for Meta, and adding the bookmarking feature is a small step in that direction.
