They left Twickenham with their heads down, having been booed by the crowd following a 53-10 defeat to France in last year&#39;s Six Nations, their heaviest defeat at the stadium.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Six Nations <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/week\/\"   title=\"Week\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">Week<\/a> 2 squad news: Botham leaves Wales camp;  Crosbie in Scotland, Gray out<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>They suffered similar treatment again in their last home game, a 30-22 defeat to Fiji in a World Cup warm-up match in August.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Being back home for the first time since last summer also means we&#39;re a new group,&#8221; Steward told reporters ahead of England&#39;s first home game of the year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would never say the fans have to lift us up, they do it because of what we do \u2013 so the responsibility [to perform] Is ours.&#8221;<\/p>\n<aside class=\"inline inline-photo full\">\n<figure><picture><source data- media=\"(min-width: 376px)\"><source data- media=\"(max-width: 375px)\"><img class=\" lazyload lazyload\" data-image-container=\".inline-photo\" height=\"320\" width=\"570\"\/><\/source><\/source><\/picture><figcaption class=\"photoCaption\">Freddie Steward scored eight tries for England. <cite>Photo by Danilo Di Giovanni &#8211; RFU\/The RFU Collection via Getty Images<\/cite><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>As a player, when you play for England you&#39;re expected to <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/win\/\"   title=\"win\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">win<\/a>. So when you don&#39;t, you naturally don&#39;t have the fans on our side,&#8221; the 23-year-old added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fans are at the heart of what we do.
