If Tuesday’s preseason game against Brooklyn is anything to go by, Patrick Beverley is locked in and ready to play a key veteran role on and off the court for Philadelphia this season.<\/p>\n

Forget the fact that it’s only preseason. Beverley was still fired up after Ben Simmons committed a serious foul on Sixers rookie Filip Petru\u0161ev, chirping the Australian from the sideline.<\/p>\n

Beverley committed his second technical foul of the game, leading to the 35-year-old’s ejection in the fourth quarter – but it was worth it according to the man<\/a> himself.<\/p>\n

Speaking on ‘The Pat Bev Pod’ following that match, Beverley explained that Simmons didn’t just get a little too physical with the Philadelphia rookie.<\/p>\n

On the contrary, Beverley also said Simmons \u201cchirpted\u201d at Petru\u0161ev \u2014 and that didn\u2019t sit well with the 76ers guard.<\/p>\n
