Google Wallet adds Driver’s License and Digital ID support for more U.S. States\u060c<\/p>\n

However, when this feature was launched, not all US states were on board with the program. At the time, Maryland became the first state to support it, with the state ID literally becoming the poster child for the rollout, as seen in marketing materials.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, support for other states has been promised at a later date, with Arizona, Colorado and Georgia next to join the digital ID program. Surprisingly, and without much fanfare, that day came sooner than expected.<\/div>\n
As spotted by user @xeno_x19 on<\/a>, Google has already quietly rolled out support for these three states, joining Maryland in the Google Wallet app. You can already see these states appear when you try to add an ID card on the app. Given that there hasn’t been a versioned update to the Google Wallet<\/a> app since October 3, we’re inclined to think this is a server-side push.<\/div>\n
