Most notable, however, was Apple&#39;s decision to finally add RCS support to its iMessage app, putting an end once and for all to Google&#39;s &#8220;Get the Message&#8221; campaign to get Apple to do just that.<\/p>\n<div>Apple&#39;s inclusion of RCS support in its walled garden likely means that communication between Android devices and iPhones should be a little smoother.  However, there are still unknowns about how this will all work as far as carriers are concerned.  Verizon, for example, uses its own RCS &#8220;Advanced Messaging&#8221; backend, instead of using Google&#39;s Jibe platform like AT&#038;T and T-Mobile do.<\/div>\n<p>However, this is about to change.  In a Twitter\/X post from the company, <span>Verizon<\/span> announced that it will be moving to Google&#39;s Jibe platform and will also adopt Rich Business Messaging (RBM), which can allow businesses such as airlines to send boarding passes directly to your <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/app\/\"   title=\"app\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">app<\/a> messaging.<\/p>\n<div style=\"display:flex; justify-content: center\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We&#39;re enhancing our Android customers&#39; RCS messaging experience with Google&#39;s Jibe platform and delivering RCS Business Messaging to help people connect with businesses in more meaningful ways. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/9tR7l4Da0f\">pic.twitter.com\/9tR7l4Da0f<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Verizon News (@VerizonNews) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/VerizonNews\/status\/1753172438370681054?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 1, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div>As noted <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/2024\/02\/01\/verizon-rcs-google-jibe\/\" class=\"external\">9to5Google<\/a>this decision offers several advantages that should alleviate previous problems <span>Verizon<\/span> user complaints about errors when sending or receiving messages.
