Another affordable Samsung phone is getting updated to Android 14 in the US\u060c<\/p>\n

Although Samsung has already rolled out Android 14 updates to many of its Galaxy devices, it takes time for these to reach all users. The Galaxy A13 is one of the budget phones updated for Android 14<\/span> in mid-January, but it took Samsung a few weeks to make the update available in the United States. To make things even more disappointing, the update is only available for carrier-locked Galaxy A13 units in the US, at least for now. It's rather strange that the US market will receive the update for carrier-locked phones before unlocked models, but it shows how powerful network carriers really are.<\/p>\n

People at SamMobile<\/a> report that the update, provided with the firmware version A135USQU7DXA2<\/span>includes the December 2023 security patch. Even though it's a slightly older security patch, it's better than nothing. <\/p>\n

Be sure to head over to Settings\/Software Update\/Download and Install<\/span> if you have a carrier locked Galaxy A13.
