Samsung caves to Galaxy S24 users’ gripes over pesky One UI 6.1 change\u060c<\/p>\n

Samsung's focus on AI is helping its new Galaxy S24 phones break sales records and, while the devices receive praise for their powerful hardware, beautiful displays and long software support, some of the first Users were unhappy with Samsung's decision to remove a feature.<\/div>\n

Although three-button navigation mode is the default way to navigate the Galaxy S24<\/a><\/span>Some users prefer gesture navigation, and many of them were annoyed by the inability to hide the gesture navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.<\/p>\n

Previously, Samsung<\/a> offered users the option to hide the gesture indicator bar, but One UI 6.1 removed it from the screen. Galaxy S24<\/span>. Samsung has apparently removed the option because a long press on the gesture bar launches the Circle to Search option. It allows you to search for any part of an image of your circle on the Internet. Disabling Circle to Search did not bring the ability to hide the navigation bar.<\/div>\n

Users who prefer a cleaner home screen were unhappy with this change. The navigation bar serves no purpose and is more of a training bar or an indication bar, as the official Samsung name indicates. In the long term, a pill that is still visible can also cause burning.<\/p>\n

Samsung listened to their calls. As first spotted by Mishaal Rahman, the company's Good Lock app<\/a>, which lets you customize the UI, may bring back the ability to hide the gesture bar.<\/p>\n

All you need to do is download the Navstar module and turn off the \u201cgesture indication\u201d toggle.<\/p>\n
