Several Apple services were down on Friday according to the company's report. System Status Support Page<\/a> (via Bloomberg<\/a>). The latter shows that from 6:29 p.m. to 7:42 p.m. EST, “users may have been unable to make purchases in the iTunes Store, Mac App<\/a> Store, and App Store.” The System Status support page states that the App Store outage has been resolved. The page also states that starting today at 1:00 a.m. EST, scheduled maintenance is taking place for Apple Cash and that “Some users may experience issues with this service.”<\/div>\n
Apple Cash lets you send money to another iPhone<\/a> user or request money through the iMessage platform. Go to iMessage and open the last conversation you had with the person you want to send or receive money to. Tap the \u201c+\u201d button to the left of the text field, then tap Apple Cash. You can send funds from the activated card in the Wallet app by setting the dollar amount you want to send and tapping “Send.” Again, you might have an issue with this service right now as it is undergoing scheduled maintenance.<\/div>\n

The System Status support page states that from 6:29 p.m. to 7:42 p.m. EST Friday, Apple Music was down and “users may have experienced intermittent issues with this service.” Apple says Apple Music outage has been resolved. AppleCare on Device was released Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST, preventing Apple device owners from purchasing AppleCare protection directly from their devices. This is also a bug that has been resolved.<\/div>\n

And Apple's subscription purchase feature also suffered an outage Friday evening between 6:29 p.m. and 7:42 p.m. EST. In this case, Apple noted that “users may have experienced intermittent issues with this service.” The System Status support page states that Apple was able to resolve the outage.<\/p>\n

If something doesn't seem to be working properly on your Apple device, it's always a good idea to check the company's System Status support page. And it will notify you when scheduled maintenance is scheduled. For example, Apple Pay and the Wallet app will undergo scheduled maintenance on Sunday between 6:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. EST.
