{"id":22075,"date":"2024-01-26T18:31:18","date_gmt":"2024-01-26T15:31:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/22075\/vince-mcmahon-wwe-sued-ex-staffer\/"},"modified":"2024-01-26T18:31:19","modified_gmt":"2024-01-26T15:31:19","slug":"vince-mcmahon-wwe-sued-ex-staffer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/?p=22075","title":{"rendered":"Vince McMahon, WWE sued; ex-staffer alleges sexual misconduct"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vince McMahon, WWE sued; ex-staffer alleges sexual misconduct\u060c<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>A former WWE employee filed a federal lawsuit Thursday accusing executive Vince McMahon and another former executive of sexual misconduct, including offering him to a star wrestler for sex.<\/p>\n<p>The 67-page lawsuit by Janel Grant, who worked in the company&#39;s legal and talent management departments, includes allegations that McMahon, now 78, forced her to have sex so she could obtain and maintain employment and allegedly circulated pornographic photos and videos.  from her to other men, including other WWE employees.<\/p>\n<p>McMahon resigned as WWE CEO in 2022 amid an investigation into allegations that match those in the lawsuit, which was filed in U.S. District Court in Connecticut, where WWE is based.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit also names WWE and John Laurinaitis, the company&#39;s former head of talent relations and general manager, as defendants.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"inline editorial float-r\" data-behavior=\"article_related\">\n<h2 class=\"editorial-title\">Editor&#39;s Choice<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><\/li>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/1706283078_832_Vince-McMahon-WWE-sued-ex-staffer-alleges-sexual-misconduct.jpg&#038;w=130&#038;h=130&#038;scale=crop&#038;location=center.jpeg\" width=\"65\" height=\"65\"\/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>1 Related<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Representatives for Grant said she wanted to go public with her allegations.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Ms. Grant hopes her trial will prevent other women from being victimized,&#8221; her attorney, Ann Callis, said in a statement.  \u201cThe organization is well aware of Mr. McMahon\u2019s depraved behavior, and it is time for it to take responsibility for the misconduct of its leaders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for McMahon released a statement saying he &#8220;will defend himself vigorously.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis trial is filled with lies, made-up lewd instances that never happened, and a vindictive distortion of the truth,\u201d the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n<p>WWE&#39;s parent company, TKO Group, also released a statement saying it was taking the allegations seriously.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Mr. McMahon does not control TKO or oversee the day-to-day operations of WWE,&#8221; TKO Group said.  \u201cWhile this matter predates our TKO management team\u2019s tenure at the company, we take Ms. Grant\u2019s horrific allegations very seriously and are addressing this matter internally.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Emails and social media messages seeking comment were left by the Associated Press for Laurinaitis.<\/p>\n<p>According to the lawsuit, McMahon lived in the same building as Grant and offered in 2019 to get him a job with WWE after his parents died.  She alleges he eventually made it clear to her that one of the job requirements was to have physical relations with him, and then with Laurinaitis and others.<\/p>\n<p>Over the next few years, McMahon gave her gifts, including a luxury car, according to the lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>It also alleges that McMahon offered one of his star wrestlers \u2013 a person not named in the lawsuit \u2013 sex with Grant as a benefit in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;WWE benefited financially from McMahon&#39;s commercial sex act enterprise, including signing wrestling talent, such as WWE Superstar, to new contracts after McMahon marketed Plaintiff as a sexual commodity to their use,\u201d the lawsuit states.<\/p>\n<p>Grant is seeking unspecified damages and asking the court to void a $3 million nondisclosure agreement, of which she claims she only received $1 million.<\/p>\n<p>McMahon has been the leader and most recognizable face of WWE for decades.
